Title: Gas Leak
Post by: newbiker1 on October 10, 2006, 07:51:59 PM
I tied looking at various posts about gas leaks and found my case to be slightly different.

I got a GS500 a week back and the fuel valve was always on "ON". When I turned my fuel to "PRI" and left overnite there was a big pool of gas on the road. I tried to see the source and found it was leaking from a rubber hose that was hanging loose.
Below is the image of the hose from which gas was leaking.

I am not sure if this hose hangs like that or it came off some part. Does someone know if this is a major problem or a minor one.
My tank has been totally drained and the gas in on the floor.
Can someone tell me what is going on and what is that hose ?
Thank you for your assistance :)

Also, that hose is in a non-standard position (shuould end in the clamp by the right footpeg.) I bet the PO put it that way to prevent it from leaking.
