Title: battery tending mod
Post by: finmac on October 13, 2006, 08:55:34 AM
Here's hoping for a warm winter, but just in case... I had thought about making my battery a little easier to get at by attaching a wire harness in parallel then running it under the seat out to the side of the bike with some sorta connector. That way, as there is an outlet right near where I park it, on cold mornings I can just plug my trickle charger right into the bike without fiddling with the seat and battery bolts- to warm the battery up. Sound like an idea? do I have to worry about other stuff in the bikes circuit? Also for quick jumping I could make a connector adaptor for the leads coming off my car battery.

Could resistor wire be useful for preheating the carbs?
