Just a note to everyone as a reminder to the first time someone nearly rode you off the side of the road. I was entering the highway entrance by my house. It is a tight turn of nearly 360 degrees, uphill, and with concrete abutments on both sides. I was about halfway through, lost sight of the car behind me. DOuble checked and was surprised he wasn't there. Turn my head, and the @$$hole is about 6 inches from my handlebars. This entrance is the width of a regular lane. No room to go anywhere. He doesn't speed by or anything. Just slowly rides next to me, while I am a foot or two from the concrete wall. Bastard.
so it was a miss then, not a near miss, which would suggest a hit...
j/k. watch your 6 better and command your lane. dont give them the space to do that again. Lucky bastard.

Actually I would have punched his glass out, called the cops, and said he tried to pass you on the on-ramp and your bars hit his window. He gets a ticket for passing in a no passing zone, wreckless driving, and possible gets hit with wreckless endangerment, and his insurance buys you some SS bars.
assuming he didnt end up in hospital...
Although I was upset, I was more relieved that I didn't get hit. The guy passed, I let out a sigh of relief, then I was upset. Glad to be upright.

Much as I can empathise with the desire to lash out, punch teeth, dent car etc, etc, remember that in just about all traffic situations the biker is the most vulnerable. Don't expect the cops to do much, "your word against his" they won't want to know.
Identify, and serve revenge as a cold dish.
I hate to say it but it's true. :dunno_white: Most cops will at best track the person down and give them hell on your word. :nono: At the least they will send them a letter saying that there was a public complaint about their driving. The problem is that cops get tired of laying charges on someone's information and then having the person decide they don't want to take a day off of work to testify. :mad: Even worse is if they do decide to testify and then the courts treat it like a "he said/she said" kind of situation and the guy gets off the charge. Then everyone's time is wasted. I would never say it out loud but have to agree...........calling in a drunk driver would be much more effective. :icon_mrgreen:
