$13K is a pretty good deal...and it's a badass bike.  The 6-spds are pimp.

But no, not giving it away...

Hmmm why give $13,000 for a Used Bike thats going to Leak Oil all over the Place and still not Pull a Greasy String out of a Cats Ass when you could buy a New Hayabusa for Around $10,000 or Less and Still have $3,000 +/- for Mods. :cookoo: :cookoo:

first, a busa isn't a harley.  The bikes are bought for different reasons.  Second,it's not too often you find 1300's for under $10k, brand new, out the door...you can only find '05's and '06's for that, and only because the '07's are here/around the corner.

Second, that bike can run 12.9 at 103mph.  That's .7 seconds faster than the FASTEST all-motor GS I've ever seen.

Third; http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=82971356

THe Junkie knows the truth.  Harley's haven't been plagued leakers since the 60's...unlike Triumph, which everyone here seems to worship for some reason, who couldn't shake that problem until the 90's...and not even completely then.

eh mak some of these people like to compare apples to oranges, or a pickup to a viper. i.e. the only thing they have in common is 4 wheels and an engine

Actually the Guy that runs the Local Auto Sales Trades his 3,000 Mile Harley in everytime they start Leaking oil. He's on Number 4 in 3 Years. His Brother was F%#$@ with him the other day on his New 07 Wide Glide and Dropped a Puddle of Fresh oil Underneath it and Actually Went as Far as Swiping some on underneath the Cases to make it look a little more realistic. The guy was Getting ready to take it back to the Dealer.

No a Harley isn't a Busa.I didn't say it was.I know it is Comparing Apples to Oranges.I'm Just Stating my Opinion.IF I had $13,000 I wouldn't be spending it on Someone Elses Problems.Actually I probably wouldn't even Spend the Money on a Busa Either.I would Rather spend my money on something that I could Actually Ride.Maybe an old GS or a Z1 Kaw.

Have I ridden a Harley? No. Have I had the Chance? Yes. Last chance was a 1200 Sportster/Roadster.Why didn't I? Because it wasn't my type of Orange.I prefer Apples.

Why Not my type of Orange? I just don't Care for Motors Based on a 100 Year old Water Pump.

I don't Have Anything against Anyone that rides a Harley unless it's the type of Person that Shuns anyone else for ridding anything Different than their Brand.Would I ride with someone that rides a Harley?Hell yeah!
Calm down Guys and lets Have a Drink.

It may run 12.9 at 103MPH and may be faster than any Hopped up GS that you have ever seen but I'm not really in to the Valved Horror GS's Either. But how would it compare to a Fire Breathing Modified 2 Stroke?Again Apples to Oranges but it is comparing Motorcycle to Motorcycle. :thumb:

Can we spell "hypocrisy"?

All I can Say IS I'm not a Hypocrite.Say you have a Suzuki GS500 Which I am Correct since you are Here. You Run Upon a Group of Harley Riders and Ask them if you can Ride with them.Their Response is More or Less "F*#& you!" what do you do? Go Ahead and Ride with them because you Think it will make you One of the "Sheep" and Still get the F&^% Beat out of you 5 Miles Down the Road or? go find some one else to ride With?
If a Single Non Jap Crap Harley rider or a Group of Harley Riders don't want me Riding with them I'm not going to ride with them.I get it all of the time. Most of them stick their Nose in the Air when I even Mention a Suzuki,Honda,Kawaski or Yamaha. They then Ask me whats wrong with an American Bike.I tell them the same thing you think is Wrong with my Jap Piece of shaZam! and Walk Away.

your friend on his harley, his 3rd or fourth one, how does we warm it up in the morning? or whenever he decides to ride?, one thing i can guarantee you, the harley engine, can last (with proper maintenance)100k on top end, 200k on bottom, plus you dont have to tear the engine completely apart to replace something internal :thumb:

Yeah he Takes the Best of Care of them and Actually warms them up to Operating Temp before Riding them.
