Title: windscreen
Post by: rob1bike on October 18, 2006, 07:18:22 AM
Hey! Anyone have ideas on a windscreen? I checked out the past posts, some liked em, others not... Wanted to get some more info before I parted with the cash. I'm thinking about the national cycles f16 or the f18, sumthing small. Just to take the edge off. How do they look? Does it work? I know I'll have to tuck down @ speed. I really like the naked look and don't wanna mess that up. Thanks for your input...even if you don't have one....:)

I currently have an F16 on my bike.  It helps some, but not a whole lot in deflecting the wind.  On the other hand, it's small and doesn't crowd my line of sight.  I've tried tucking down behind it to see how much deflection it can truly offer.  Again, some, but not much.

If you are looking for a functional windscreen, I'm afraid the Plexi2 or 3 is going to be your best bet with National.

Yeah I know what you mean.  I had the suzuki front fairing on mine (probably similar to the F16/18)  I always thought it was kinda ugly, but it made enough difference that I put it on in the winter, and took it off in the summer to go back to the naked look.  It helps to get some of the windblast off your chest in the winter. :thumb:
