Looks great! Nice color! Showcases the swingarm; you'd better keep that clean! :icon_mrgreen:
Holy Low Clipons Batman!!! Looks nice though, what are you using for the seat? chopping the stock one?
haha yea I like my clip-ons low... I thought about using the stock seat, just striping all the padding off, but Im just going to do the whole seat fiberglass..
looks great what exh can do you have on
What did you do to do the taillight mod?
the can is just a stock sv650's the tail light is flipped and sunk in so its more flush, a stock gs500e tail hangs way to far out..

pantablo has the mod instructions on his website. Not sure what the website is but find one of his posts and there should be a link there.
That's the best looking tail piece that I've seen for thse things. The proportions are just right and it matches the rest of the bike well. I noticed that you chopped your pylon pegs, so you already can't carry a passenger so you don't loose much utility either. You could actually use it as a small trunk, gaining some utility. Looks good with the clipons and dual headlights. Well done :thumb:
Not so sure about the coffe can on your car though  hate those things. Oh well, bike looks good.
yeah bike looks great. Love the paint job, real clean looking bike. Love the tailight and dual headlight. Im guessing there dominator headlights?
Are you kidding me? That is one of the best looking gs's I've seen! Great job! I'd like to turn you loose on my 2001!!! Good clean lines!
thanks guy I really apreciate all the positive responces.. i will make a mold of the finnished project and hopfully be able to sell a few..
as for the big can on my 240sx, dont worry the 3" exhaust and big turbo dont let it get too loud, all 400 horses!!! its not a honda fart can!!!

Is this what you are thinking of?

It isn't completely the same, but it is an alternative.
I'd like to know how Zach did his mod :)

+1 I'd also really like to know how to do this mod. :thumb:
on my tail light, all I did was remove it, cut the two brackets that it bolts to,grinded them a little then welded them under the rear support thing haha..
heres what I got done on the seat tonight..
oh so you're making like a cover, right? Not a molded tail? Because what it looks like, to me, is that you're making something you can slip on there when you're running solo, and can put the stock seat back on for pillions. Correct?
not sure, I thought about making it removable, but ill prob just fuse it to the rest of the bodywork and make one big mold..
what about when you want to change the battery or get to the electrics?
looks good though, nice effort :D

you un-bolt it hahahhaa , it will prob have about 4 bolts to hold it on.
lol :D
fair enough. thought you had forgotten about getting to all that stuff was all,
keep those photos coming :D
hmm, did the same thing to my tail light on stock 89, all i did was unbolt the light and flip it. fits fine.
Yeah, but what illuminates your tag? O0
tag mounted leds :flipoff:
okay..... back to my corner....
hahhhaha yea just messin with ya
heres what I got done last night.. Im just using bondo hair to fuse it with the stock body work, ill smooth it all out and shape it,gelcoat it, then make the mold of it..

Looks similar to what JamesG made. It needs mounting hole reliefs unless you plan on just drilling through it and have the bolt heads exposed. Also, you better make it a 2-piece mold.
Looks good! So that started off as a ebayed tail, and you shaped it/layed it out w/ fiberglass? Cool! Hmmmmm
You definitely need to make two so I can buy one off of you for my bike that I am getting ready to race

Exactly correct!
Here is a James G tail section that I bolted on to a stock seat pan (front half) so it retains the stock seat release.

no this started off as nothing, I just made it out of really thin plywood,if you can even call it that, then layed fiberglass over it.. Its all one of a kind

Ill try to make a few, but I cant promise anything... btw do you skim??
From scratch huh, you got some skills! I've been toyn with the idea of taken a extra stock "tail" and maken a solo tail that would use the stock seat lock, with a custom seat. I think I have to raise the rearend to get it to look right. But what your doing looks great!!!
QuoteIll try to make a few, but I cant promise anything... btw do you skim??
I am not familiar with skiming(or skim), or am confused on what you are asking.

I was thinkking of something in terms of racing or motorcycles.
I do skim, on the lakes, that particular picture was taken at South Padre Island TX, but the board is from a small surf shop in Pismo Beach, CA
hahahahhaahha yea I skimboard in pensacola beach, theres nothin like catchin a good wave!!!
