Hi all,
I've recently replaced my fuel lines with some 5/16 clear line. It works pretty well, but I had to cinch down one of my band / screw clamps fairly tightly yesterday as I began leaking fuel during a ride.
Anyway, I can't find 7mm line anywhere! I certainly don't want to order the POS line that Suzuki sells. The only place online I've been able to find is from a boat supply shop in England.
Any tips? :dunno_white:

7mm is very common FI line for Bobby Bosch systems VW, Porsche, Audi, etc.. Any FLAPS that sells FI line should have 7mm.

Graham
you try a dealership? They have many sizes that might work.
Yes, I went to two dealerships this weekend that sell nothing but metric bikes--and neither had metric line.
What's FLAPS?

Thanks for the translation  Nope, they just carry imperial sizes. This metric stuff is hard to find!

FLAPS a? I love useless anagrams! TTFN :icon_lol:
1/4" is fine. I used the Tygon thin-walled stuff.
I've got some kicking around here, how much do you need?
Thanks! I'm set with my 5/16ths right now (I think the small leaks have stopped), but I know who to contact if I need to replace any more!

No problem man, I'd be happy to send you whatever you need.
I know a lot of the time I will use fuel line one size smaller (6mm in this case) and stretch the ends with needlenose pliers. Worth a try, IMO.
I've found that for really small hoses like the fuel lines on our bikes, the screw type hose clamps don't work very well. The cheaper spring clamps like the stock ones seem to work better. You can buy a box of 5 or so at most auto parts stores. You may want to try this before getting a new fuel line.
The screw style dosen't seem to clamp very evenly on the small hoses because there's a flat spot where the screw is, it also seems to chew up the hose. Just my $.02, but it works better for me
