I have been riding my GS for over 2 years now and clocked a good 7000mi on her. She was my learner bike and has taken a beating. I am a very good rider now though and need to fix her up after all the abuse she has taken.
Okay I hate the stock handlebars on my GS I would like something lower and in the process I would like to get new mirrors, bar ends, brake/clutch levers and grips. Any suggestions of some nice parts that will fit on my bike for not too much $ and look good (looking street-fighter style) Nothing too radical, Im not sure I really want clip-ons. Does anyone know if syranth still makes HB?
Also I have some chips in my paint all over from having a cople of gentle drops at a stand still. That and around the keyhole there are chips. any suggestions where to get original colored paint to fix her up? I also want to know if anyone has had any luck taking out major tank dings? If so how?
Know of any good clubs/mechanics In San Antonio Texas? I just moved here.
I have a small crack in the plastics by the tail, its hardly noticeable, I need a way to repair it so the crack doesn't spread. I'm thinking some sort of glue tape that is strong and discrete some where underneath the plastics (non painted side).
Lastly my muffler has been abused, and I want something cuter, louder, or just cleaner looking. Anyone know of used, or cheap mufflers that make good replacements? What about just replacing the cover?
I need GS stickers that go over the ignition box, for both sides of the bike? Know where to get these?
I know alot of questions, anything you guys can help me out with would be great!!!

Go crazy.
That link should cover the exhaust, bars, mirrors, paint, grips, etc...
The brake and clutch levers can be had off eBay for $20 a set or so.
Just go to a local shop and get some of the bar ends they have there. Any set for 7/8" bars will work.
For OEM paint, try www.colorrite.com
Stickers - eBay or the dealer, or an online OEM parts dealer.
thanks I will look into it. Im sure I will have some more specific questions here soon. :)

If you need help with any of it, I'm in South Austin and go to San Antonio fairly regularly to see my girlfriend. I'll be glad to give you a hand with any of it.
thats funny, I work in Austin, and go regualrly up there to see my bf. Although I dont take the GS up there. 35 is too scary for 100 mi ride. Im a wus. Not to mention its getting chilly! I might take you up on the help though. If i have to do anything eletrical i tend to mess it up. Mechanical no prob. most of the time. I am going to look into those bar end mirrors set ups. It will help smooth out the line of the bike i think. Right now its stock all the way.

For the bar ends, if you don't want to drop the buck on the nice CRGs, check out eBay for some lower cost alternatives. They are still made of billet aluminum, but are made my Motrax, I believe.
Here's an example:

Yep, they're sweet and hold up well. I've really enjoyed mine.
Chilly
I do custom vinyl graffix if you are interested. Fair Price and you can't beat the quality.
Thanks for the ebay link... I really do like those bar ends. I think I will go that way. Just to decide on handlebars and grips now! I think I will get a tank guard too. Not a bra, just a sticker.
For your crack in the plastic, you should drill a small hole in the end of the crack and it will keep it from spreading. To patch it, a piece of fiberglass and epoxy on the backside should do it, just be sure to scuff up the plastic really well with some coarse sandpaper.
