Title: Bent Valve's HELP!
Post by: motorgroove on October 24, 2006, 03:30:06 PM
Hi all, I bough a project GS500 and found out the valves are bent for one of the cylinders. How hard of a project would it be to get the head fixed and replaced? Anyone in SoCal have any recommended machinists or could offer any assistance, i would really appreciate it  :thumb:

A valve job should cost around $150, plus about $20 per  bent valve (correct me if I am wrong on the valve price)

I'm going to be Parting the Motor out on my 89.It may take a few days to get everything apart..I'm sure the top end is in great Shape since it was running Like a Sewing machine.Weel except for tht knock in the Bottom End. :thumb: 5,500 Original Miles. :thumb: :thumb:The Only problem is the Front Valve cover Bolt Snapped off.  I have some Easy outs So I can try to get it out.
