that rocks.  and nice pics.

My dad does track days on his SV650 all the time, and I have yet to do my first.  I always get to hear about the fun he has, and I just want to finish school so I can afford that kind of fun.

This is my dad at Barber in Alabama - 20 minutes from his house!

I have my first track day coming up. How does it usually work with photographs? What's the pricing/availabilty?

Thanks  :thumb:

pricing varies by track and photographer. usually its about $40 or so for a CD of all your images. Sometimes more if you buy it later off their website. If you make sure to not run in groups you end up with more images of you, since they can pan and shoot several through a turn. I have lots of those...I usually get 25-40+ images but others that get stuck in groups only get 10 or so. It can vary greatly. Also they usually only shoot a couple sessions in the morning, before you really get the hang of it. I always like buying them so I can examine my body position. they've helped greatly over the years.

20 minutes huh...that would be very expensive for me....LOL.

Pablo, nice.  I thought you were using ebay'd stock body work, but I guess that's not the case unless you had the headlight openings filled?  And if you did pull the headlights, did you pull your bank angle sensor out and attach it to your race fairing, or short the jumper for track days?

the bodywork IS ebay pre-crashed stuff...except for the front upper fairing. That is a cheetah trackday fairing which works with the oem panels. It replaces the front upper, effectively removing the headlight and turn signals in the process. That cost me $130 IIRC from a vendor on ebay, and its a blem product (like I care).

Thanks. The bank angle sensor was a pain since the wiring is run between the headlight and fairing (requires removal of headlight to get wiring out). I bought a spare front wiring harness w/bank angle sensor  that I throw on with the trackday upper. So when I need to swap over I pull the oem front upper off in one peice. The spare bank angle sensor gets zip-tied to the same location where it usually sits-front face of the upper fairing brace, under the instrument cluster.

I am probably going to buy real race fairings shortly....very shortly. Like this week.

pulling the headlight unit lightened the front considerably. I'd get headshake in places I didnt with stock setup...and most recently I got a few power wheelies coming out of turns....woohoo...

So.. forgive my stupidity... but what's this bank angle sensor do? Is it a tipover sensor to cut fuel flow if the bike goes over, or what?

bank angle sensor = tipover sensor. kills the ignition if bike tips over. some racers can get the bike leaned over enough to set it off...bad thing.
