Anyone here have any mods planned to the next few months?
I just got started today. I adjusted my suspension to Sportrider Magazine's recommended settings, installed some frame sliders, and a fender eliminator. After installing the eliminator I zip tied some wires out of the way, and made more room under the rear seat. I then went to Chipotle and managed to fit two burritos, wrapped up, under the seat.
I know I'm not on a GS anymore, but I do intend this thread to be about GS mods.

I may get a rear seat cowl and a radiator/oil cooler covers sometime..
What do you all intend to do this winter?
Nice SV..f%$king pimp.
I'm about to redo my seats, install carbon fiber seats and tail and front fender, harley davidson 3/4" master, Brembo calipers front and back, redo my wheels (anadyzing them black), installing one of my left side exhausts or build a high mount, projector headlights, plus a couple other things.

Mostly just tidying up her unsightlies.
Off season? Winter?
Well... I intend to convert my GS to a track bike in the near future.
So...
removing headlight
removing turn signals
removing tail light
removing tail plastics
replacing tank with my dented up one
replacing bars with cheap clubmans or clip-ons (depending on $$$)
replacing guage cluster with single tachometer
possible:
hacking off passenger pegs for an undertail exhaust
hacking off part of the subframe and seat (doubtful)
USD forks
different swingarm
engine work (with time)

Thanks!
I like your TL. Is that hydraulic or cable operated clutch?
The TLS has a cable clutch. The TLR is hydrolic. Mine's an S...cable. I had an R clutch system on it for a little while but really did not like it at all. I like the cable setup much better.
Well I bought a 1995 zx6r, I now know I hate clip ons, and fairings. Give me another gs with mx bars or a supermoto please. Guy before had no idea of what he was doing so I got it cheap, but now I have to fix his mess ups, which are:
new/correct tires
rejet as it has a full system
front fairing repainted as cracks werent fixed well and cracked again...through the brand new paint
recover seats
seat lock
paint the wheels, and other little things
fix rear sets

The bike is rideable and everything just the details are needing attention. Oh ya and I like twins alot better. Its pretty fast but I like alot of torque. The paint is brand new so that was a plus, and I got it for 1700 and its worth alittle more than 3000, and the things wrong with it are relatively low cost.
Yall like my trailer, all aluminum, and it floats in water.

how do you know it floats? :flipoff:
Hmm... it's looking more and more like my "off season" mods will be working on a DRZ, with no GS by its side...

We had an aluminum flat bottom on it and we backed it into the lake. We backed in the water till our back bumper was in the water and the trailer was still above the water. We had to pick the boat up off the trailer because the trailer was floating so high, the the wood "floor" was only an inch or two underwater and the boat was sitting on the railings of the trailer. So the boat never touched the water till we picked it up and pushed it off the trailer. Who needs a boat, we got a floating trailer.
but to stay on topic, I will also be putting a new fender on the bike and mirrors, and grab handles.

Ok, I just spotted something in your picture. Is that yuour car behind your bike with the bike trailering rig mounted up? Is that one of those things your bikes front wheel sits in and then you pull it like a tow truck? I saw one on ebay, they look pretty dangerous, and not very trustable.
Well I guess nobody plans any mods then.....
wtf is "off season".
bitches.

If you secure the front wheel in the hitch really well, there is nothing dangerous about it.
