several weeks ago I finally got a job, and decided to buy a car. got a deal so I was able to pay all at once. here (black one):

This thing is powerful... but the problem is, I really don't feel like speeding at all. In fact, there's no thrill on stepping on the accelerator :dunno_white:
Then I realized: THE GS IS THE PROBLEM!!!
To be honest, i think I only enjoy going fast on the motorcycle now. I don't understand it, but I like it (there's no way I'm getting speeding tickets in this car).
If you see me in this thing, go ahead and pass me since I will be driving like a grandma, but if you see me in the gs, please move to your right :icon_mrgreen:
I REALLY REALLY wish motorcycle guys would maybe ask around about what car they should buy...Sebrings are so wishy-washy it's pathetic. Some are AMAZING...while some are amazingly shaZam!. Too big a risk...plus you could have got a bimmer...
good thing you didnt get the convertible...poster rental car for gays on vacation...
^bahahahahhahhahahahah
hey cala, its not an auto is it?
I understand your feeling of inadequacy. A narrow wheel based foreign vehicle is far more "fun" to drive than big boat American cars. Throw a home made turbo on them and you're cookin with fire. Just my opinion. If I have the option of driving a SeaBring in the rain and cold, or my GS, I pick the GS hands down. I don't even have a car right now, by choice, not broke or anything, just don't want one. For those that haven't succumbed to the pressure, hold out and get something you really want. My next vehicle will be a bimmer 318i, with a homemade turbo.
I feel your pain.. I went riding with my friend in his Beemer Z3... We came around a turn into a straight away, and he opened it up.. I glanced at the speedo, and we were touching 120.. but to be honest, I got no thrill out of it at all... I told him "ehh.. that was cool... but I'd rather have taken the turn at 70 leaned over at a 50* angle instead"... He just gave me a bewildered look... I told him once he gets on a bike, cars just won't have the same thrill anymore..
Grats on your new car :thumb:
love the internets.
yes, it looks like a Sebring, but it's actually an Avenger with a big 'Dodge' brand on the front (in reality is made by mitsubishi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dodge_Avenger))
You know what, maybe it's because I have been riding 24/7 during the past year and 5 months, but everytime I climb on this beast, my muscles relax or something and I don't feel as alert as when I'm riding (but I do look out for motorcycles btw).
everyone laughs at work when they see the car and I reply saying that its 'basic transportation to take me from A to B...' :dunno_white:
internet bs is always entertaining. Cars are weird - they mean different things to different people. To me they are inclement weather/large item/long distance transportation. To that end my slow, fuel guzzling, old pathfinder is fine. And in 2wd in the snow, its a whole other kind of fun :icon_lol:
You're right...it's an avenger...same thing as a Sebring...or Stratus. Same comments apply.
