Title: Stainless Steel brake line preference?

I am anticipating the insurance adjuster will say my SS brake line adds little to no value to the bike.

Would you prefer that the GS500 comes from the factory with a stainless steel front brake line?

i would, but as a learner bike the sometimes sharpness of braided lines may be a little dangerous for a noob. mabee, dunno.
some people prefer rubber lines as they give a more "feel" to braking. i think its bullshit myself :D

Sharpness?

And actually, the SS brake lines give a better braking "feel" because they don't expand and deform under pressure, as the rubber lines do. That provides a linear feel to the brakes that doesn't fade as much. It provides much more control.

Just about anything italian for the last decade or so, and any supersport (and many others) sold in the last couple years from almost anywhere.

SS lines offer nothing to over-all value.

Especially at the unit price to add it to all your bikes in the factory!
