...just build a dyno? Make it out of an old treadmill. I'm doing it, more for test purposes as my TL is always being a test mule for something, but I think I'll be running it just for the sake of it more often than not. Plus I'm thinking about turning a generator with it so while I'm testing modifications I'll be charging some batteries. I can't see anything wrong.

As far as the dyno goes...I may have to visit again to see this.
in all seriousness I am building a dyno. I'm going to use a large, cast iron roller from a grain mill as the roller. Weighs about 500lbs so it'll be easy to manipulate to get basic readings using a simple datalogger with a magnetis sensor. Dunno when I'll get around to it, though.
