Title: Easy question on value...
Post by: PJFZ1 on November 08, 2006, 11:18:41 AM
Hello all - new to posting here, but I've got a question ya'll can help with.

I'm looking for a GS500E to add to the stable. I've got a good friend with one in great shape at a good price, but he's too far off to make it convenient to go get.

Locally I found a '99 in very good shape, 9,000 mikes, clean, but with a couple of dings. It's got a full V$H pipe and has been jetted.

What's a fair price for it?

Thanks in advance for the feedback!

I would say a fair price would fall in the lines of $1700 to $2000 USD.  Depending on how dinged it is, how old/new the tires are and what other mods have been done to it.  Also if it is overly rusty.  kbb.com says that $2075 is the retail price for that bike but if it is in great shape i think 1900 is more like it.
