OK I spent this Evening Tearing my GS all of the way Apart to check and see what was Raising hell in the bottom End.Yeap it was the Counter balancer bearing.From the way it sunded I though it was the Outer Crank bearings too.Anyway as I pulled the top Half and Flipped it Oer there wasn't a Bearing in that Half.OK I pulled the balancer and Here is what I pulled out of the Bottom Half.

Yeap the First Picture they are stuck together.From the way the Cases look it has been Spinning Since New or Near New.Looks like there is Close to 1/4" of Play in the Cases nw and the Counter Balance Shaft Doesn't look too good Either. :mad: :mad:

I bet you made it all the way to the end of the block before you remembered that you forgot to put the oil back in. :icon_razz:
Actually This is How I bought it. :cookoo: :cookoo: :cookoo: I knew Something was Wrong with itbut I just Bought it for a Two Stroke Conversion.When I got it it Didn'tt have ANY Oil in it and had a Tag Attached to the Keys that said Do not Start No Oil.I don't know if the Owner Done that or a Cycle Shop. :dunno_white: :dunno_white:

Yeow! Looks a little scorched. Not that it matters, but did you check to see if they oriented the bearings correctly? It's possible there is only one direction that uncovers the oil gallery.
I wonder how long it took the rider to notice the thick, black smoke pouring from the engine breather? :laugh:

He had some pretty good earplugs not to notice 1500 lbs of reciprocating mass depart the engine. The hole was almost big enough to pass a 2dr. filing cabinet through. :laugh:

send the crank/rods/pistons &rings to Falicon http://www.faliconcranks.com/index.html
i was quoted 210+shipping and they will ballance it, you can then plug the oil feeders for the counterballancer and use the counterballanceshaft as a doorstop.
this also free's up a noticable amount of HP to the rearwheel that normaly paraciticly robbed by the CBshaft weighing almost as much as the crank.
every time ive attempted to do this some other Life crisis pops up preventing me.
I had thought of that but I'm not into 4 Strokes too much.I'm Putting a 2 Stroke Power plant in the Frame. :thumb:
