Well we pulled the trigger on an 06 blue gs last weekend. It was just delivered and though Im recovering from carpal tunnel surgery I Had to take it for a spin. It looked like I had gas so off I went and ran dry at 31 miles :o. I just switched to reserve and started looking for a gas station.
I bought the bike for my wife, We currently rideĀ drz400's with full knobbies. The gs was super smooth compared to the drz and sooo close to the ground. I was going to put supermoto tires on my bike so I can road ride with her but maybe I'll see if I can find a nice nekked gs for myself.
Any ways I found this forum and bought the bike because of all the info here. Thanks
Welcome!
Congrats on the new bike, and welcome! :thumb: Where are the pics!? :icon_mrgreen:
And, congradulations! (after I looked to see that you were looking at one before, as indicated by your first post of two)
Welcome, that's a great feeling taking out a new bike for the first run. Ride safe.
Didn't Alpha just trade the GS for a DRZ400?
Sweet! Welcome!

He really didn't have a choice to trade, but here's the thread: http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=31891.0

Congrats and welcome aboard!
Good luck with he wrist, I induced a little CTS in my left when first got the GS. A little time with one of those spring-exercise things helped a lot.
I ride both GS and a DR650, and am always thrilled to make the switch from noisy-yellow-tractor-beast to smooth-tight-black-gem of a bike and back. OK, so I'm not a d**m poet. I'm sure that you understand.
