Title: progressives for an F
Post by: UnSaniTiZ on November 17, 2006, 09:30:42 PM
hey. I've done some searching and found that part # 11-1128 is the recommended progressive spring part #. Can anyone confirm that this will work fine for an 04F? All the old threads I found were regarding E models. The MAW part # I am looking at is 02517. Also, I am going to replace the fork seals and change the fork oil when I put in the new spring. Is it worth getting a set of replacement dust seals?

Thanks,

The forks have not been changed since 1989, therefore they will work with the F mode.

did you get those new springs in??

I can't compare it to anything but the stock springs ... it's definitely worth it.
I put the progressive springs in my 89 a couple of months ago.
Huge difference in handling.
I used to bottom out alot.  Now it soaks up just about everything.

I only did the lazy man's replacement that I found on Pantablos website.
I figured the oil was still fairly fresh because the seals were replaced last year(2nd time they leaked in 17 years)
