I finally got all my aftermarket parts i wanted for my GS. I received a Vance and Hines SS, K&N filter, and a Dynojet Kit. I could not find any aftermarket parts in Canada (where i am from) so i bought it all from the States. I ordered it all from the same place at the same time to make it easier for me. In doing this I just went with the available Dynojet kit since thats all they had (prices didnt mean anything to me since i couldnt get anything here anyways and i got a good deal on the package).
I know the kit is typically hated from many but i have it and need some advice.....
The kit says run 122 Mains with Needles set at 2 and the pilot turned out 2. IS there a better option out of this kit to use on my bike again im in Ontario, Canada. ALSO is it neccessary to drill out the slides and replace the needles :dunno_white:
If i dont have to drill and tap i would prefer that....can i change the needles without drilling and tapping :dunno_white:
Thanks alot.... sorry if im repeating some stuff from other previous posts.

Do it one thing at a time.
Do needles only first. Easiest and it actually might leave you perfectlt situated.
The air screws are 2.25 stock, mains are 122.5 stock. Their 122 is almost the same as the 122.5 you have. If needle alone doesn't do it, post your observations and we can fidle it that way.
Drilling and tapping is unneccessary. You can tap it with 4-40 machine thread and install nylon 4-40 screws and cut them flush and sand them ... drilling isn't needed.
In any case if your bike runs great when you open throttle slowly, but falls on its face when you open it fast. Then you do that tapping thing. Else leave it be.
Cool.

OK..... sooo just change my stock needles with the needles Dynojet supplied. Dont drill , tap or install the "slide orfices" and try it out.
Should i bother adjusting the clip position on the needle or leave it in stock location ?
OK check your PM. Sorry I didn't realise it was an 03. Thought it was 89-00.
Cool.
