Title: D&D slip-on... will it work?
Post by: jpmire on November 19, 2006, 07:34:05 PM
I just bought an D&D exhaust off of ebay. It is used with some scratches. I only paid 40 with shipping. It has a 2" inlet and I was just curious if it would work. I have no problem going to the local muffler shop and having them weld it if need be. I figured even if I spend 30 to get it welded, then I still come out ahead of buying a new can. I know I need to rejet to get the most out of it. Anyone have suggestions besides Dynojet? Thanks fellos.

Don't get jet kits...buy the jets you need from a shop or the dealer...MUCH cheaper.

And the D&D is off of what?  Anything can work with the right modification.

Yeah, take it on down to a muffler shop.  No matter if it is a bolt-on or a slip-on, they'll be able to mount it up.

Just to throw my opinion in (which I'm sure you really care about...) D&D pipes are just way too loud in my opinion.  I've yet to hear a bike that didn't sound offensively and crappy with a D&D.

^RC51's and TL's.  Still loud...but 90's need pipes like that.

I still have the stock air filter. I may change it out but will probably keep the stock air box. What size jets do you guys recommend? I have tried reading ALLLLLLLL :dunno_white: of the posts on rejetting and people are using different sizes and have different mods done. I not sure if I need washers to put on or jet sizes. Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!! :dunno_white:
