How much gas should I expect to go through for a trackday? It's me and a Ninja 250, so I was hoping if we topped off our tanks before going up we could get away with sharing a 5 gallon gas can. Is that reasonable?
Why not bring 2 5 galloners, just in case?
I always have a 25 gallon drum of 110 and a hand pump...but I've never really needed more than 10 gallons (FZ600).

Because I'm lazy and careless.

I average 2 gallons an hour at almost every track I go to. I take an extra 5 gallons, but more often than not come home with it.
depends on the track and how you ride them. I've done trackdays where I only went through the tank on the bike and others where I've gone through that, a 5 (or 7.5?) ga extra can and still not made it through the whole day...generally speaking you should be fine with what you have. You can always borrow a little from one of your neighbors in the pits if you had to.
If you are riding your own bike down, then just fill up before and after the track, I have only used about 3/4 of a tank but it depends on how long each session is and how many you can get in a day.

Beautiful. I wouldn't want to haul that crap around either.
the gs should use more than a tank full in a day. i avg 29mpg at the track
yeah 30 miles per gallon and I used about 3 gallons on the track for 90 miles which is 45 Laps on a two mile circuit, which about 12 laps per session, and there usually is about 4 sessions in a day.
Simple enough I would say, heck, at lunch you can always run a grab some gas also
