Title: Need Fairing Bolts and Service Manual
Post by: Raydr on November 23, 2006, 04:00:27 PM
I just bought my first motorcycle, a 2004 GS500F that had been in an accident. The fairing was fully replaced, but for some reason there are a handful of missing screws/bolts. Anyone know where I can buy a set of all the screws that should come with the Fairing?

In addition, this being my first bike, I want to be able to service it myself. I cannot seem to find a service manual for the 2004 model - I can only find for <2002. Any help on that?

Thanks!

Wow, accidentally came across bikebandit.com and they have every screw I could want, priced to the parts. Cool!

Welcome!!

I've got the Clymer manual up to the 2002.  Basically, you will find that 99% will be the same.

I've got the same '04 Blue/white, and the manual has served me well.  If you want it, i'll sell it for $20 shipped.  I'm getting rid of the GS, and I won't need it anymore.

I just ordered all new bolts, clips, rubber rings, and clips for really cheap. Paid more for shipping than I did for the parts though.

so cute. you could get her a mini GS.

Oh, balancer set (handlebar end) at $20 might be a good idea.
