Very nice. :thumb:
The '05 black is my second favorite color scheme for the '01+ bikes. First would be the '04 blue. E models, naturally, as we both know the F models are ugly ()
The reason I like the black is because it harps back to the original 1989 GS500E, with the black bodywork and red and white striping. Gorgeous. If only they made a white one with blue stripes again, that would be nice.
Looks good! The headlights really set off the whole bike. Is that a straight forward mod, as far as the wiring?
very sharp
the wiring for the headlight is pretty simple, i beleave theres a few write ups around here some where.
Cool, I'll search it up when the time comes. I've got the sonic springs also, made a HUGE difference. Good people to deal with to!
noooooooo
looks sweet :thumb:
Funny...I think it looks Great! :icon_lol:
nice job, so now your selling the fairing (grin)....??
there a little scratched up and need to be painted, i was goona just keep them, and put them on if i ever do a track day. but if someone made me a resonable offer i would be willing to sell them.
I am so doing this. thanks again for the PM :thumb:
I love it. It's exactly what I was looking to do before I committed to buy the '98, buy an 03 or later that was dropped and pull off the scratched plastic... very nice! Love the dualie street fighter headlights too.

Most people take them off for a track day, no?
thats because they care about there farings, if i go down at a track day the farings can save my frame from getting scratched up.

Umm... if you go down on cottonballs maybe. Or if you plan to go down at less than 15 mph. If it were fiberglass, I'd be with you. Otherwise, case guards would be a better bet. Plastic fairings tend to crack up and pretend like they're not there.
looks great! next you gotta do something about that long brake line. I installed clipons onto my GS & you can imagine how long the friggin line is. I'm upgrading to a SS line before the spring. Probably have to get a custom length, but I know a guy...
i really like the headlights. how'd you set that up? looks a lot better than a stock E headlight.
Looks like the Buell headlight mod:

i know there farings wont hold up at a high speed crash, they also provide alot of wind protection. i dont know if i would actually put them on for track day or not, there a pain to put back on then take take them off again.
The headlights look kind of funky to me for some reason... maybe they'd look better with a small bug screen on top.
Other than that, it looks great.
yeah im thinking about getting the buell flyscreen to go with it.
That would be hot.
