Title: Finally Un-Banned
Post by: Foreverunstopable on November 28, 2006, 08:31:22 AM
Hey everyone. I have to say great site and links. I've been unable to post untill now, thanks Pablo!! I've read the last 543 posts and compiled a laundry list of modifications, parts swaps for my GS.

:bump: SEARCH IS YOUR FRIEND!

lol seen that more times than I can count and every question I have had so far has been answered by this feature.

After purchasing GStwinnermx3's 2000 GS500E off of e-bay I've had the bike on the road two weeks and to date logged 2200 miles. I love the GS! I love it so much its now my main mode of transportation and I got a part time job at Cycle World for the 40% discount on parts/accessories.

Shinrath, pablo, mike, kerry and everyone else who has self-help guides posted, THANKYOU!

Awesome, welcome! I assume you were a victim of a range ban directed at someone other than you?

Yeah Cycle World is interesting... They had me do a dermis test, took hair from my head in three different spots, pencil thick and from the scalp up... When I asked the reasoning for this I was told "its a safety issue. We want to make sure you don't sell a helmet that is to big or something like that."  :bs: Well I hope that the way of the future does'nt dictate that our fast food industry, mechanics unions, or school bus drivers take that test. We would be in real shaZam!.

No food,
No cars,
F***ing kids at home,

On second thought, since we all do our own on the GS's the road would be clear for us and us alone :icon_twisted: :icon_twisted: :icon_twisted:

That was most likely a drug test.  Drugs that normally leave the body quickly and can't be detected in a urine test after a few days leave residue in the hair that persists.  They can tell your drug history for ~1 month for every 1/2" of hair that you have.

Welcome! I'm glad you're not banned anymore ;) Congrats on the bike purchase! We'll see you around!

-Turd.

just to clarify the "ban". We've instituted a manual new member approval process (temporary, I assure you). I must have inadvertently 'rejected' his new account instead of 'approving' it. Apparently, and unbeknownst to me, this results in a IP/username/email permanent ban. Took a bit of work but we sorted it out.

Glad you found your way here foreverunstopable...

Wow, just to sell bike parts.... I deal with million of dollars in Taxes for cpa's and I get no testing (bonus working for CA corp sometimes....lol)

Welcome back (I think)
