There is more than one rider in Gainesville.  I just sold a 96 to another guy that lives in Ocala and I own a 95 :thumb:

Tallahassee, +1.
Since I came from uptstate New York, I felt that Florida does not have winter.
I am riding everyday on my GS. IMHO, this place is rider's dream, motorcycle heaven.

Holy crap, a Tallahassee GSTwinner!  You got one thing wrong though.  There are no good motorcycle roads.  What I'd give for a mountain road....

Okay, not right now, because my motorcycle is missing, and makes taking curves at speed dangerous, but normally....

Anyway, you're not riding a black/silver 05 are you?  I saw one going down Park Ave the other day when walking my dog.  It was funny.  I heard someone coming, and I was thinking, "motorcycle...sewing machine...GS! and sure enough.....

Black/silver but 06.

I agree, we cannot expect nice mountain roads around Tallahassee. But I found several interesting riding courses.

My favorite is head North along Meridian to get to the town of Metcaf, then take South toward Tallahassee.
You got a lot of up-downs and curves, and, yes, unpaved road!!
In particular, such dirt track is quite challenging after thunderstorm. I love it.

It might have been you.  I'll wave next time, so if you see some guy waving at you on Park, it's probably me.  I don't have the same commute as you though (Park to Blairstone to Capital Circle NE), so it's unlikely we'll pass each other that way.  That, and I rarely commute on my bike, as showing up sweaty to the office isn't a good thing, and freezing isn't my thing.

I personally like Centerville to Pimlico Dr, making my way to Thomasville, N. to SR (or is it CR) 12 just before you get to GA, to Meridian, to Lakeshore Dr, to Monroe, to the 4th Quarter, where I stop and have a beer (don't worry, I never leave under the influence at ALL).

I'm on the Treasure coast, St. Lucie to be exact . Don't see a lot of GS500's around here. Mostly retirement guys on Harley's or kids on GSXR's . I'm not in it for wheelies I just like cruising and the sporting feel of the GS . This is my first post or reply or whatever . I would like to get together for a cruise with other 500 fan's in the area. I'm not really in southern florida but I'm not central either . Is there anybody out there .
