Just thought I'd introduce myself: my name's Jason, and I'm currently going to school at Valparaiso in NW Indiana. Been riding dirt since childhood, street since 15 (shhh, don't tell), and track since recently. Short of cocaine, I love expensive hobbies: cars, guitars and, of course, MOTORCYCLES.
I'm a regular on gixxer.com, currently riding a 750/907 streetfighter, and now considering a GS500 for an intro club racer. I could get an SV, but everybody's got one; who doesn't love the underdog anyway?
ps. I'm full of bad ideas. Turning a Squier Strat into a humbucker-powered project guitar (waste of money, for the non-guitar-literate), for example. My current idea is parting my streetfighter, and hanging onto some of the valuable parts for my potential GS: forks, wheels, rearsets, pretty much everything but the engine and frame.. Come to think of it... See this? Baaaad ideas.
though an innocent enough looking post, for some reason after feeling my way through the first paragraph I kept expecting to read "Anyway, my class/organization is trying to arrange for me/a small group of students to go to Europe for feriegn study/go to college to enhance our opportunities to succeed in life. I have this pamphlet/binder full of magazine suscriptions you already have/don't want and I intend to convince/guilt you into buying one/more. It's for a very good cause and I/we really appreciate your contribution. You won't regret it."
Welcome anyway.

It is kind of a generic sounding intro. Since you brought it up, you'd be welcome to support my motorcycle/guitar/auto habit. You won't regret it. :icon_razz:
hahaha...welcome smartass. you'll fit right in...looks like you're already holding your own.
Welcome! Anyone who wishes to contribute to poolshark's debauchery can simply paypal a small donation into my account, and I'll make sure he gets it! Yo! (http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a146/pandyz/angel.gif)
You believe me, doncha!? :icon_twisted:
You must have gotten a bad Squier...I had one that I modded out and it turned out just fine for a bar/club gigging thrasher.
Of course, my American made Fenders are a lot more solid feeling, but whatthefuckareyougoingtodoeh?
I smashed the Squier for a friend's b-day party...it was my present to him as he'd never been to decent and yet destructive concert before.
Anyway, welcome. I'll probably not be here much except to harass Pablo as I'm buying a Duc soon, but who knows. This site is like crack....

Oh, the Squier's a blast to play, as are most of my hotrodded copy guitars (Epi 335, Alvarez Nashville Tele), but I won't ever get my money back if I sell. I guess I'll just have to trash it at a show and scavenge the good hardware. O0
My little brother is at Valpo right now. How long have you been there and what are you studying?
I'm a sophomore studying political science and journalism.
