Title: I've caught a bug...
Post by: Raydr on December 03, 2006, 12:35:06 PM
I've had my new 04F for a month now and I can't stop finding reasons to take it apart now that I'm starting to see how easy a lot of it is...

Been reading and reading the forum and now I'm afraid I'm going to go broke spending money on my bike...

Just ordered an underbody glow kit (~$130) and progressive fork springs. About to order a 15 tooth sprocket...

Can I request a ban so I stop getting ideas?

You put too many glowing things on it and you just might get a permanent ban (j/k).

The most complicated item that you can wrench is the engine. As long as you treat it right, the most involved you will get is with the valve shims.

Enjoy!

Careful with the lights...

The beloved GS isn't very capable of handling ADDITIONAL power usage very well.  It produces only a couple extra watts on top of what's needed for all the stock stuff.

Eventually, the battery will die.  But adding lights and other electrical doodads will turn that "eventually" into a "Soon".

Good luck though.  I always wanted to trick it out like that.  Get some pics when installation is complete. :thumb:

Replace all your bulbs with LED's then the power darning prob wont be so bad
