:icon_mrgreen: hi everyone!! hows the riding the bike thing going on? i just drove mine like 30 minutes ago and its 30* outside :o almost froze!
30* thats what im talking about, none of this "put it away for winter" crap. :thumb:
still have snow on the ground here.
although not too long ago I did get caught in an early fall storm. rode my bike home from work at some ass freezing temp and slushy wet snow. by the time i got home my hans were so wet and cold they turned a light purple and blue :o
Welcome!
I took me last ride of the season today. I had to go meet some classmates for a group final project.
It was around 35, but I needed to test out my newly purchased overpants from MotoGP.
Welcome!
It was 82 today here in the Sun Shine state :flipoff:
Use the search feature for some toasty mods. Heated parts and such.
Welcome to the nuthouse!
30 degrees? It's still warm out! :icon_razz:
Hey Ann how did you like those Moto GP overpant's . I have been thinking about getting a pair. Did you size up to go over your clothing?
Thanks
Graham
I liked 'em... Of course I only rode in them for about 90 minutes total. But I was kept warm. According to the site, you only order the same pant size. I'm a fat 36" waist. I ordered the 36". In order for them to fit, I needed to remove the removable liner and the hip pads.
Another downfall is that I'm short. 30" inseam. The pants are 32". So I have a slight bulge at my ankles.
Other than that, I'm pissed that I can't wear them until next April or so...
Welcome, I just bought what you bought. A 2006 GS500F.
,,,and it snowed last night and is still going, grrr.
Thanks An, I am a 32 waist and @ 31 - 32 length. I guess I will get the 32. I hate the style of all the overpants, but I think I can deal with the moto GP's. I am getting them so I can put them on to go to work. Hopefully they will be easy on and easy off.
Regards

Welcome!
There's plenty of pics in a link on the main page (www.gstwins.com)(Wall of Fame).
Do you have winter gloves and a winter jacket? If so, you can still ride! (And, I mean motorcycle winter gloves and jacket :) )

i froze my ass off this morn...it's amazing how used to the warm you become after moving back to the Bay Area after living in Chicago for 3 years.
I have to get used to the cold again every damned winter. All of a sudden, temps are in the 30's in the morning, and I wake up and go ??? every morning. This past weekend was amazing for riding, though..... :icon_lol:
welcome gary!
Thanks everyone!!! :icon_mrgreen: yea i bought a shift racing jacket with the armor thing :icon_mrgreen: so when i got it i tried it on gave it a ride and im like wow its :o frezzing :o!! so i look at the jacket it said "fully vented jacket for maximum cooling in hot weather" :2guns: :bs: its winter!!! i needed a warm jacket but oh well it will be good in the summer!!

That's just one of those little learning experiences we all have as we're....well....learning! :icon_mrgreen:
wear a wind breaker under the jacket. thats what I do with my perforated suits.
There ya' go...bein' practical again, pablo. How are the motorcycle places gonna stay in business with too many practical folks like you wearing windbreakers, and not enough idiots like me who pay for liners!? :P
pandy
who's doing her part to keep the economy going :icon_lol:
:bs: actually that was my liner...u needed another jacket and i wanted the liner member?
ceek
So...in other words...what you're saying...is....that....YOU paid for the liner....and *I'M* wearing it.... I see nothing wrong with that.... :icon_lol:
You can borrow the jacket while I'm wearing the liner? :icon_twisted:
 hahaha yall are funny!
I've been wearing my oversized textile jacket over my fully-perfed summer leather jacket (with the liner in the leather jacket; the textile wont fit over the leather jacket with its liner in), this way the textile keeps the wind and sun off the leather (wind and sun are the two worst things for dead cowhide, rain is a distant 3rd).
Rememer: You can always make a summer jacket into a winter jacket, but you can't make a winter jacket into a summer jacket (without extensive (expensive?) modification).
I find it easier to have seperate summer and winter jackets.
Snow? is that something like rain don't get either here   :thumb:
:2guns: lucky you, get to ride all year lol  its so cold dont think my bike would start :bs:
