Post by: indywar360 on December 04, 2006, 04:26:56 AM
RobertT just sent me a GSTwin message full of porn links and a picture of an asian guy with a HUGE dong.  :nono:

What the hell.

Ditto. It was easy to tell it was spam simply by reading the file names, however, I used an exclusive e-mail address to register at this site--an address that is supposed to be hidden. Is one of the moderators responsible, or has the site been hacked? Scan your machines for spyware and change your passwords!

The same thing happened on SVRider. Probably hit other boards as well.

The same person has hit DucatiMonster.org a few months ago, and others report him hitting several car forums (a Mazda 3 forum sticks out in my mind).

He's hitting nearly every board around using a bot. He used to be around before now but only recently has he started automating his spamming properly. His host i believe used to be GoDaddy.com - send all complaints to them. I know that they shut him down for a few days last time he was around but somehow opened his account again.

That pic was photo shopped.  Right?

I hope I never see anything like that again.   It is my freakin' birthday.  I don't want to see any giant dongs on my birthday ever again.

Does anyone know if the PM had the horse in it?  I too saw the donger and I'm worried I got the horse.  I know people that skipped the main board and went directly to the forums are OK but I haven't heard anything about the PM being contaminated.  Anyone know?  I'm about to send my IT an email and I'd rather avoid it if possible.

I ran symantec virus scan and it reported 0.  Then I went to that link Pablo advised and the scan ran ok, but it said I had some potential spyware/grayware in the form of cookies.  I decided to delete it just to be safe and it got stuck during this process and on the bottom left of my computer where it gives progress, it said worm_scbot.

Was the PM ok and just the gstwins.xcom was bad?  Thanks

I believe the PM was ok so long as you didn't click the links.

Thanks, although I was tempted to save it as a desktop for my coworkers, I decided to delete the PM as soon as I opened it and saw the 12 ftr.

you were PM'd, not emailed. if you have email notification for PM's thats where you would have been notified.

really the correct way to deal with this problem is for GSTwin members in the spammer's home city to do a ride out to his house. If it is Portland, I will be there with my 5/8x16" homemade fork tool.  :2guns:

There must be a good reason... otherwise why would he go to all the trouble?
