Just sharing the latest addition to my website. This is a proposal for a bathroom/changing facility at Encino Velodrome. This is what I've been working [late] on recently.

Here's the full description:
QuoteA celebration of the Velodrome
The new bathroom and changing facility is proposed as a new identity and gateway to the velodrome racing experience. It is composed of several elements that celebrate velodrome racing history, the physical track characteristics and bicycle fabrication. A gate and screen has large vinyl graphics and spans across the face of the building, extending to the storage container and provides a strong visual identity for the track. It also creates a covered, shaded walkway for racers and spectators. A similar screen element conceals the electrical equipment from view and connects the new building to the existing Office/Concession building. The open gate and the screen elements also help frame a view of the sinuous track surface.
Once inside the gate the general public enters a covered open area, which creates a promenade into the facility proper. In this space the building wall acts as an educational display wall describing, through the use of artifacts and written documentation, the significant history of velodrome racing, the Encino Velodrome history as well as current events. This display wall will be naturally lit from above via colored glass such that the display wall is bathed in the World Championship colors.
The building construction will utilize low cost steel stud framing and painted plaster exterior finish. The screen will be made from steel support tubes and commonly available composite deck material with connections inspired by the traditional lug construction of bicycle frames. Ventilation will be provided by fixed louvers made from steel stud framing elements. The building and screen colors are based on the World Championship colors.
This building captures the spirit and energy of track racing, provides a strong, poetic identity to the Encino Velodrome and continues the great legacy of George Garner, Bob Hansing, Jack Kemp and Charlie Morton that began with their dreams, determination, and hard work.
Enjoy!

Hi, starwalt! :icon_mrgreen:
Looks nice. I was a little unimpressed when I heard "bathroom/changing facility," but I was hasty. Like I've said before, I'd love to work in something you've designed.
I need to buy a house... :icon_confused:
I always enjoy your stuff. O0

Its a background kind of use but the only location on site for it makes it a "gateway" into the facility, so I did what I could to make it meaningful. i did change the name/description of the project on my site...
