Hi, I'm planning on removing the fairings on my GS500e, don't ask but it's to do with making repair costs cheaper. I am replacing the twin headlamp unit with an aftermarket one and with an aftermarket headlamp bracket that clamps onto the forks. Now this is where I have my problem, my indicators at present are attached directly to the fairings (that are not going to exist soon!). How do I attach my indicators the bike? Do I need a certain type of bracket, and if so how much will it cost?
I haven't much experience doing work like this, and I'm completely new to finding bike parts for changing the whole appearance of a bike!
Please could someone recomment what I should do?

The signals mount to part 3 and 4 in the stock config, as do the headlight brackets.
Since you already have a different headlight mounting system, I'm not sure what you want to do about it. If you have a plate that faces sideways, you could drill a hole in it and mount it that way. The signals might tend to turn themselves up or down, but you could probably prevent that somehow. (I think the stock mount uses a non-round hole that prevents the signals from rotating.)
And did you say farings and twin headlamps are currently on your E?
Yeah I do have fairings and have twin headlamps on them, they are all custom. I've just recieved my brackets today, and they will accept the indicators facing sideways. My concern now is that they will rotate as suggested. I'm thinking a washer will sort that out, or maybe even using somesort of glue to fix it permanently??
I'd get a washer with a too-small hole in it, and file it to the oblong shape of the signal mount, then JB weld it to the bracket.
OR
Try something with one of those grippy lock washers, if it can be done without damaging anything.
