Title: making some new parts for zx6r.
Post by: 94suzuki500 on December 13, 2006, 04:20:58 PM
So I bought a zx6r awhile back.  Making parts for it like heel plates, others were broken off.  I cut them out of aluminum and drilled holes on it from a grid pattern I drew, they look pretty much OEM.  Well not for that year or anything, they look like they are supposed to be there and dont stand out in a good or bad way.  Just now no more attention is drawn the the broken peices.  Shock resivor mount, other was broken.  And fixing the fron fairing, it has a couple broken tabs and some cracks.  After that Ill be putting on new tires, chain guard and painting the plastics.  I was thinking a blue like the new hayabusa.  Thats the color my dad is gonna paint his busa so I might as well paint and I am not to particular on the color and I am selling it so I wont see it long.  Oh ya and then I will give the frame a quick polish as it is dull now.  I woulnt have polished it, but its already polished and looks bad.  And I am going to paint the rearsets and passenger peg brackets black.
