So I drive my car today because of heavy rain and when I start it up to go home I think to myself: "my car sure sounds whiny.. i wonder if a bearing is going out?" Then I hop in and proceed to run some errands for Christmas. I get to my first destination and after buying the gift I go to start her up and rrr rrr .... click click click ... after a few cuss words I realized my alternator was the squeaky wheel deserving my attention. I get a jump, from someone kind enough to help me out, and start straight home. What does the gs have to do with this you say? well when I get home I park my car at the end of the driveway and hurry to get my bike pulled out to ride it tomorrow and also to get the floor jack and stands out when I hear my car choke and croak at the end of the driveway. I now need to restart my car and pull in the garage somehow.. thinking I could try to just slip it in R and pop the clutch to start it.. NO dice. I push the car as far as I can back into the driveway (I have a steep driveway so 3/4 was still hanging in the street) looking around at all the neighbors houses that I don't know I realize I had a jump already. I hop on the gs drive it down to my car hook up the cables and let it sit a second then try it and BAM it starts.. I pull the car in before it dies again. Hell ya Its a good thing I have my bike so I don't have to find a ride tomorrow or work on my car till midnight.
Oh ya.. my alternator was running so poorly that at the stop lights I had to maintain a rev of at least 4k and turnoff my headlights or it would die. I ran 2 lights (turned red as I was going through) because I was scared that my car would die if I stopped any more than was necessary. I'm writing this as i'm eating to let off some steam before I go out and put in a spare alternator I have. Luckily I bought an engine to build up and it came with the spare alternator.

Except for the fact that everybody would think that the GS was the receiver.
