Well the sun has set on the winter solstice, in exactly the place where the Druids marked, which means that tomorrow will just be a little longer, the coming of the light, the feast of Yule. It's going to keep getting colder but it will get a little lighter.
Whichever midwinter festival has your support I hope you have a happy one and enjoy yourselves, if you take a drink don't drive or ride and join me in raising a glass to all the members, bikers everywhere and absent friends. Cheers! Ride safe. :thumb:
Happy Winter Solstice!

I visited Stonehenge in '94. I was hoping for a virgin sacrifice or flying saucers, but all they had was a tacky little gift shop. Still, it really is a neat place!
I wish a happy and healthy new year to you and yours, whatever belief systems you subscribe to.
 to everyone!
Wahoo! Days get longer, which means more riding time before and/or after work!
Yes to all! Happy whatever you wanna celebrate!
Hope everyone and their loved ones are safe and well!
Oddly the shortest day was yesterday ...
However the latest sunrise was over 2 weeks ago. The earliest sun set is ~2 weeks from now, depends on what location ... depends on your lattitude right ??? ... But add them up and the shortest day is yesterday.
Now In Charlotte jan can be warmer than dec. Heck last year, Nov was colder than dec, and this year we have some freezing cold days in the first 2 weeks of october and last weekend it was in the 70's.
Cool.
Srinath.
i've had such a hectic month... put on a sales meeting, was mc for a corporate party of 700, and traveled quite a bit too...
But its all over and I've got about 10 close friends coming over tonight and i've got some cold beers ready... I'm SO looking forward to a little relaxation and enjoyment for a change... I hope all my GS friends have a safe and happy Holiday season
I'm looking forward to the rain. :icon_mrgreen:

Did you sleep through yesterday?
There wasn't enough rain.
Hey Scratch. look outa my windows, third day of fog after two week rain, :o it's enough for me but probably not enough for the utilities as in this part of the world we live in an almost constant state of water shortage. Still there's always
I'd consider moving to Washington, Oregon, England or Scotland, if I needed to get out of the United States...I mean, if I really wanted to learn to ride smoothly in the rain all the time.
I ride all year and just rode through our 2 weeks rain and 3 days fog. I love fog its much more exciting because its challangeing riding its like riding in the rain and blind and mostly nighttime too. All i can say is its impossible to ride smooth in the rain, theres always something to slip on. You just have to go with it.
More daylight rocks! Alright! 8)
