I recently purchased a chin spoiler from Mr. Andy Thomas. It did, however, not come with the hardware for installation. After a few attempts of installing the spoiler with other means, I've come back to the reality that the best fit would be from the orginal hardware. I know I saw on here before a link where to get some hardware, or suggestions for installation. Could someone please give a link or info as to where I could find a good deal on some hardware, or if anyone has installed the spoiler with some other means, how they did it. Greatly appreciated!
-I went to my local Suzuki dealer and they wanted a ridiculous amount of money for this hardware. Need a better solution!

I got mine and 2 of the mounting straps were broken so I bought a roll of that metal strap with the holes in it and made my own. I reused the rubber things that go around it so it wouldnt scratch the frame up. It also has 1" double threaded standoffs that are hex shapped so you can put a wrench on them. Then some 10 or 15mm bolts that will thread into that and then some washers and lock washer and some rubber washers to put on the fairing side so you dont mess up the paint. All can be found at a good hardware store.
This is my setup for the mounting bolts so you can get an idea how many washers and stuff you need.

I tried using those rubber coated brackets but couldnt find any large enough to use. If you cant find some kind of rubber to go over the bracket I think they make stuff you can just dip them into to coat them. Think I remember seeing it for tool handles and such.
chin spoilers were optional Suzuki equipment so you can try bikebandit.com to search the replacement part numbers then call parts depot (check for sale forum for vendor phone number) for cheaper prices.
Here is the bike bandit page you want.

Thanks JayB,
Would it be possible to see some pics. Am considering this option.
Pantablo,
What is this Parts Depot? Part supplier for bikes?

Yes, they sell OEM parts, no online presence though-they only have a 800 number.

JayB:
Could you explain what a "double threaded standoffs" is, what it looks like, etc...
Also, for anyone viewing this, and so I don't clog up the For Sale forum with a quick post, what is the number of the "Parts Depot" Pablo is refering to!
Thanks
