OK, for real, no BS. Alright now I'm on zero drugs, no history of mental illness in my family, and I've not even had a drink in days, but I'm just sitting here at home all alone right now, I do have a roommate but he's been gone for days up to Kentucky for the Holidays so its only me and the two cats and they both are even outside right now, but someone or somehow while I was just sitting here in my home office posting away here the light switch just got turned off, its a standard toggle wall switch and the only way the light comes on is if the switch is like 95% of the way up. Now I played with the switch for a few minutes seeing if maybe when I tuned it on it only was half way or something, but like I said the only way the light would actually even be on is if its 95% of the way up, and its almost impossible to keep the switch in the middle because by the way the switch is designed it ether just keeps going all the way up or down if I try to stop it in the middle, so I'm now 100% sure it was all the way up and on, and could not just fall to the off position by its self. This is the first time in my 32 years I've ever seen something like this. Has anybody else ever experience something so very unexplainable like this? And yes I'm just a little freaked out right about now, and I am now going to fix myself a drink or two! :o :dunno_white: :cookoo:
I hold a master electricans lic. If the spring goes bad than the toogle well drop, but it won't fix itself...
Get your bible boy!!
I'm no master electrician, but thats sort of what I thought, thanks, now I'm all freaked out again.
Just pretend its just like the movie Scary Movie, then it might become comical.... :dunno_white:
I'm a Handyman.Seen it Happen.Changed the Switch.Got the T-shirt.
Pull the Switch Plate and Watch for Sparks the Next time it Happens.Just don't stick you fingers in there. If you see Sparks inside the Box Or if you see and Burned/Scorched Spots in the Box it's Definately a Bad Switch.
I would go Ahead and Change it anyway it could Short out on the Inside and Cause a Fire.
There's no such things as Ghosts.
But they proved the exhistance(sp) of ghosts in Ghosts.

I'm just still sure the switch is alright, We'll see if it happens again, Then I ether replace the switch or move.
some skeptics actually claim ghosts are just infrasound. INfrasound has been shown to cause feelings of unease and distress and there are some places that are natural infrasonic generators. Maybe your house is over a fault line.

Living in one of the oldest towns in New York...I've seen some freaky shaZam!. My grandparents house (used to be my house) is over 300 years old...and there are people literally buried in the basement...the ground was frozen and that was the only place they could put them. Now...when I was little my grandfather used to talk about 'Sarah' all the time. They have one of those old dutch doors with the kind of latch that you MUST lift to open, theres no knob. The latch will lift and open on its own. Ive seen the latch move. My grandfather used to joke around with us and say thats only Sarah its cold outside ya know? It wasn't until recently that we dug up the old cellar steps and found that each step was a turned over gravestone...one baring the name Sarah..
Often times when I was laying in bed, and other family members have said the same, I would feel the bed depressed like someone was sitting on it. Now my bed is an antique open box spring brass bed. It squeeks when someone moves on it. My bed squeeked...and I was laying perfectly still....
We moved out of that house when I was 14...that weird shaZam! stopped in the new house...
I also happen to live near Pinewood Ave Cemetery...said to be one of the most haunted places in the US.
Alot of people are skeptical...I'm into the lore..I find it facinating. But I also believe in *certain* psychics...who all say the same type of things..that ghosts do exists. What I've found is that there are different types of ghosts...those who mess with things but arent angry..and those who are....at least yours if thats what it is...doenst seem the later.

Infrasound? That would be a "sound" below the threshhold of human hearing, ~20hz. Sound is simply vibration, so we are just talking about sub 20hz vibrations. Yeah, that could cause stuff to rattle and fall off shelves, etc. but it would just basically feel like an earthquake. Off the top of my head, natural things that can generate frequencies below 20hz would be: earthquakes, volcanoes, waterfalls, glacial movement, ice floes breaking, etc. Unnatural objects create those frequencies often: Traffic, subways, jet aircraft etc. Maybe they meant ultrasonic? Like blowing on a dog whistle to scare the hell out of someone?

When I was about 9 years old on vacation to Ukraine my family stayed in an old country guest house,it had outside toilet in the midst of a garden.Late in the evening I went to use it :icon_rolleyes: The door was made of several wooden boards with a small clearing between each one,so i could see the well lit path outside through them. The door had those type of latches that you must lift to open or close on both sides of the door.I was amazed when the outside latch started to gently lift and close on its own locking me in(i could see clearly that there was no one on the other side of the door) I could literally s**t my self if I wasn't already at it  Eventually I had to use a small branch to lift the latch open and run to safety :o

just a quick link on the whole infrasound ghost connection.
apparently very low frequencies (like 1Hz) can be felt and can cause extreme discomfort and all sort of weird sensations.
Pastrana that's very interesting, I had a friend over the other day and he said that's its only "Sarah", and he told me he got that from his Grandparents. When he was just a kid he'd stay at their house a lot during the summer, and he told me how the back screen door would periodically become unlocked from one of those old fashion eye hole type latches, and every time they heard the screen door slam shut his Grandfather would say " there's Sarah going out to play". His Dad told him it was just the wind and someone forgot to latch the lock, but said he knew for sure that is was locked, and that he also stood there once shaking that screen door for minutes to see if it would come undone but it wouldn't.
