Title: Pocket bikes + highsides = ouch!
Post by: Foreverunstopable on December 26, 2006, 05:59:47 PM
Well... I went back home for x-mas, turns out the fam won a pocket bike at Vegas and had it shipped to surprise everyone on Christmas day. Well we get the bike out, its missing parts, the securing screw that holds on the right side peg. We found a machine screw to replace it with, cranked it down and started it up. After riding around the block, various members taking turns I got my chance. I get to what I feel was 20-25mph, Jeans, tennis shoes, a hoodie and my hat... What happened, the peg shears off at the screw sending my foot right into the ground. The bike shoots right, highsides left sending me what felt like 5 feet into the air.... Well let me tell you wow, I sustained more injuries on the pocket bike than my GS lowside. After all it was a highside and I didnt have the propper gear. Thank goodness my melon is safe but somehow I hade contact at 9 different points with road and bike. Bandages and a little advil I'm back in the game. LOL I should know better to respect any machine that can go 20+... Lesson learned. Merry X-mas all!!!

Good to hear your okay, or at least okay enough

At least know you know that you should always wear your helmet, because even at 20MPH you can kill yourself
