Title: Quick pic of Mak's exhaust V2
Post by: cuda_06 on December 27, 2006, 01:40:08 PM
A slightly different take on mak's high mount system.  I still have to fab up the bracket for the can near the tail end but other than that version two is pretty much done.  The sound has changed a bunch also so I should have some sound clips up shortly.

I would buy that if the price was right.

Cuda...get us some more pics of it!  I didn't get a chance to check it out with that can.  How much of the tubing did you have to cut back?

Price wasn't right before, it likely won't be right now.  I can't sell dupes of this setup for less than $450.  Market cans are too costly.

Your valve cover gasket is leaking.

Mak- you might want to think about just offering the exhaust as a pipe set and have the purchaser buy whatever can they want to bolt on since it is now of that setup.  That way it would be easier on both you and whomever buys it.

As far as the pics go, sorry I haven't gotten any better ones up yet.  The bike hasn't really moved from my garage in awhile bc of time constraints, weather, owning another bike, etc...  If the forecast holds true for next week I am planning on taking a decent ride and a friend of mine will ride the gs.  So, if things cooperate I will have better pics next week.

Is this a dual setup or a single? looks good either way.  :thumb:

It's a single.  tubing requirements for a dual are a bit too complex for a cheap exhaust.
