Title: needle shimming
Post by: rob1bike on December 28, 2006, 07:06:09 PM
Ok, first of I searched, I swear!
I'm rejetting my bike this weekend, I think I'm good with everything.... How do I shim the needle, I've got the #4 washers. Does anyone have a pic of it? Or a good step by step? Is this pic link correct? http://www.angelfire.com/mt2/mikesgs500/rejetting/
Sorry I've been drinking wine...mmmm.
Thanx in advance

The photo is correct.  The washer goes between the circlip and the plastic spacer.

Remember to put the main jet in first and test it with full throttle. If it is ok then go play with needle. If you do everything at one time and something is not right, you won't know who to blame.
