Well.... I look for the good deals and I found a 2004 Hyosung 250 comet for 1,000.00 may try to get it down to 800.00 Its in good shape, runs good. I'm still keeping the GS but its fun to tinker and I'd rather do it on a bike I dont count on for transportation.
Yea or Nay?
I cant decide.
a good deal on crap still leaves you with crap...
I have never laid eyes on a Comet, but I know the typical Chinese quality. Maybe in 6 years or so, but for now I would let someone else be an early adopter.
Go buy a couple fixer-upper GS's and spend the rest on track crap. :thumb:
I'd spend a grand on the fully-faired 250 they make, probably not on the naked one though. Why is the guy selling it?

I have a GS500E ratbike that you could tinker with for a lot less than a grand! :icon_lol:
The Comet 250 is a good bike with a stable reputation. They are KOREAN and not Chinese. They have been on the road in many countries for a while now.
If it could get be had for $800 Id grab it.
Guy sent pictures of the bike. It looks like, well, yeah. Rust, its been down and missing the rear.
Just saved 800!
I don't really know, but would it be worth it to buy and part out on ebay? Parts are probably pretty scarce for those still
