has anybody heard of these bikes? they are supposed to be opening a plant in my little town Pocomoke, MD. http://www.fischer1.com/index.html
Don't know much about them, except I think they use the Hyosung engine, which makes some people nervous.
Also, it seems a bit pricey to me :dunno_white:

Go pick up a copy of that issue and read the cover article. The worst thing that they say about the fischer is that it needs a different sidestand as the current one is too easy to drag. They actually mention the engine as a strong point not a weak one. And just an FYI - the Fischer also uses the hyosung usd forks.

The styling is a little... EXAGGERATED.
What's the deal with that sharp protrusion on the tank? That can't be comfortable, can it?

I don't imagine that tank would bother you at all. It looks like it is that way so it can be narrower at the bottom. And I always thought Hyosung used a Suzuki SV engine. Correct me if I'm wrong.
But let's assume for a second that the Fischer used a Suzuki engine. Would you guys buy it? What if supsension upgrades were cheap and easy?
It isn't styled too differently than say. . . a 675, IMO.
yeah it appears to be going after the 675 in looks. other than that i know nothing, never heard of the brand :laugh: :laugh:

Hyosung manufactures their own engines, based on the design of the sv650 engine, but different. Its carbureted! wtf? Seems like a cheap knock off of a good bike but priced near the big 4 600's. I have that Motorcyclist issue and the picture of it with body removed is very telling-everything is very sloppy and makeshift. I definitely wouldnt buy one.

Well... Maybe give them a couple years and see what happens... Going to do any dumpster diving behind the factory?

This is what may very well kill the bike.
Its a new design from an untrusted manufacturer (at least here in the US). Many people, myself included, will take the 'wait-n-see' approach, which will result in terrible sales the first few years.
I'd say its a tossup as to weather or not they will fold within a few years.
I really like the fact that much like the Hyosung comet R bikes, they are trying to offer advanced styling and 'better' suspension (debate this one amongst yourselves), in an intermediate ride. Its just too bad they have the price point set way up there with the race replicas. A fully faired SV can be had for more than a thousand less. PLUS notice the $399 freight on the bike if you don't live in Pocomoke, MD ... :laugh:
I'm also a fan of having a passenger pillion, which is another 300 bucks.
So now we are talking 8700 bucks for a glorified SV650S. :cookoo:

Who pays MSRP anyway? Being added to a new dealer network, if they don't sell fast you'll see some deep discounts. If they sell like hotcakes you'll have trouble finding a good deal on one.
