I'm shopping for a new helmet right now and found the one I want. I can't decide whether or not I'm a small or medium. According to this chart from newenough.com

My head size is right between 22 1/4 and 22 1/2 depending on the slightest movement of the tape measure. Which puts me at the large end of a small but the small end of a medium :dunno_white: My old helmet a HJC same as my new one to be and it is a size small. What do y'all think?

Well, unless you are going to be gaing weight or size Id stick with the small.
My head is...21 1/4\" yes I have a pin head....my scorpion is an XS and is just tight enough..anyone else is banned from putting it on for fear of stretching it...go for smaller..it\'ll stretch...or better yet..go try them on
You really need to try one on first. Different models, even from the same manufacturer, can sometimes fit differently. Try & find a shop near you that has the helmet you want & try it on.
Go for a tight, snug fit provided is not to uncomfortable for you.
My head size is 22 1/2 & my HJC CL-14 is a small. After one year of riding, the padding isn't as snug as it was when new.
i have pretty thick hair and my helmet and hat size changes by half a size depending on me getting (or needing) a haircut. O0
it's always better for a helmet to be a little too tight than too loose, so small is good. my friend, who usually wears a large arai pretty well, was able to fit into my small hjc, so the padding is definitely covers a pretty broad spectrum of head sizes.
I'm exactly 22.5", which seems to be exactly midway between small and medium on a lot of helmet makers' charts.
I have a medium Shoei (RF-1000) and a small HJC (CL-15), both of which fit me perfectly. I say go small on the HJC.
