Title: fuel stabilizer
Post by: bentrider on January 15, 2007, 05:43:24 PM
Is there any down side to always adding fuel stabilizer to every tank of gas except for cost? Thanks.

No need to do it unless you have that fuel in there for longer periods of time.
If you need to use it on a regular basis mix it in a gasoline container
and add the fuel to the tank.  This way you can maintain the proper ratio
of fuel to Sta-Bil.
I use it in my KLR and my sons dirtbike because they sit for longer periods of time between uses.
If you need to use the Sta-Bil on a regular basis add some carb cleaner to it once
in a while.

bentrider,

If you're looking for an additive that benefits/cleans your carbs or tank, try a product called SeaFoam.

I'm not sure but I don't think Seafoam will keep the fuel from turning.
For long term storage you need something like Sta-Bil.
