Title: Bad sellers on Ebay should be shot.
Post by: annguyen1981 on January 18, 2007, 12:23:50 PM
I purchased two body pieces for my R6 on 1-3-07.  I paid same day, same seller for both.

I got an email on 1-16-07 from him with a tracking number.

I checked UPS and they stated that is was SHIPPED OUT on 1-16-07.  WTF?!?!?  I waited 13 days to find out he JUST shipped them?!?!?!?

And now, according to UPS, I won't get the package until 1-22-07.

When you tell people that you still haven't gotten any it's like me telling people that I'm still breathing air...

It's assumed unless otherwise stated.

That definitely qualifies as annoying, but I don't know if it makes the dude a bad seller.  Maybe he was on vacation?  Business trip?  Family emergency?

Bad seller would be one who delivers the wrong thing, or misrepresented the quality of it.

Amen, An. I am still waiting for two things I bought on eBay, and I don't even have tracking numbers yet! I don't know whether they have shipped or not, or even when and if they will ship. I bought one on Dec 31 (and paid instantly) and the other on Jan 2 (and paid instantly). I've sent numerous messages to both sellers (3 or 4) and both have only replied once saying, "I think it's been shipped, but I'm not sure. I'll check on that." No responses to my inquiries thereafter.

I hate crappy eBay sellers.

It isn't confined to e-bay.  I ordered some items from Amazon BEFORE CHRISTMAS that I still don't have.

They tried delivering it to my home while I was at work.  The downside is I wasn't there and they sent it via U.S. Postal service, so it required signature.

Well, we have a condo association office that typically receives our packages, but the Postal Service didn't take it there.  They took it to their main shipping office.  I finally got out of work early enough one day to swing by there and they had "either put it back on the truck for another attempt at delivery, or sent it back to the shipper."  But the Effing Postal "Serivce" couldn't tell me which.

I tried to cancel the order the Amazon, but they have no customer service and they have no way of changing the shipping address.  The tracking number they sent me is wrong (it is missing at least four number to be a valid tracking number).

So I spent about $70 on stuff I will likely never get.  And these were intended to be effing Christmas presents for my father.

I am so f%$king furious.  Just thinking and writing about it has me damn near cross eyed.

Having said that, yesterday I ordered a copy of "The Doctor, the Tonado and the Kentucky Kid" yesteray on Amazon.   As always, I'm an idiot.

My wife had a package that she had to sign for...  But, they tried to deliver while we were both at work...

She was not allowed to change the delivery address...
They couldn't leave the package, even with the "X Sign Here" signed and waiting for them...
The wouldn't deliver the package to the Condo Office...
They wouldn't hold the package at the delivery hub...

It was CRAZY!

She ended up working from home so she could get it...  It was something stupid like a pair of jeans...   :dunno_white:

Ebay's only redeeming feature is the ability to submit feed back. if you don't like the service you got, give them a poor rating or what ever and state why. eg it took them 13 days to ship my merchandise .
Cool.

Trying something "new", huh?

I don't really like leaving negative feedback 'cause it's FOREVER (well...  almost forever...)

I'm mainly pissed because there was NO communication on his part during that time.  And the email he sent:

"Tracking # ****************"

That's it.  No thank you.  No sorry.  No nothing.

Well, I got the item I bought on Dec 31 in today. Postmarked on 1/14, which means it took him 2 weeks to get it shipped out, after having to remind him at least three times. At least I got the item.

I think eventually, Amazon will just have to refund me my money.

From now on when I order from them, I'm having it sent to my office so my secretary can sign for it.

I got the plastics in today.  Still pissed, but I haven't left any feedback yet.

I sent an email politely asking why it sat around for 13 days, and when he finally sent me the tracking #, there was no apology or explaination as to why it took so long to get it out.

I'm gonna wait for his response before I leave any feedback.

you paid your money and got your parts. thats a good transaction in my book. yeah, you could mention slow shipping, but thats no reason to shaZam! on his feedback. grow up.

I really DON'T wanna leave any bad feedback, but if it's warranted, I will.  That's why I'm giving the seller a chance to explain.  If he replies back, then good feedback will be left.  But if he doesn't even attempt to reply back in the time allowed (I think Ebay lets you leave feedback up to 60 days after a transaction), then I will leave negative feedback...  nothing BAD bad, but basically stating stuff like took too long to ship...  hard to contact...

stuff like that...  IF he doesn't respond.

Negative FB is so permanent...  I'd rather not if I don't have to.

Don't forget that neutral feedback is an option.  I call it the, "Yeah, I got it, but..." feedback.  I reserve negative feedback for sellers that don't ship items at all or lie in the item description.  Neutral to me means that they had VERY substandard customer service.

^^ what he said. you can wait all you want to give feedback, but if he is the seller and hasnt given you feedback already (for prompt payment) then he'll wait you out too, to make sure he gives as he gets.

get over it. dont wait for an explanation. you wont get one. move on. you have your parts. did his auction say " immediate shipping" and did all his feedback say "shipped really fast"? really, get over it.
