So I just read on another forum that there's a guy that'll take the passenger footpegs from an R6, and install a set of LED turn signals in them, then ship them back to you. In the pictures he used ugly ass green or blue LEDs, but done properly with a set of amber or red LEDs, I think they'd look damn good. I thought about maybe trying to make my own set. Only problem is that the GS passenger pegs are welded on, not removable. I thought about maybe cutting em off and then bolting a bracket to the frame to bolt them to. I don't ever intend to carry a passenger, and I'd actually been considering cutting them off for awhile. But I figure I'll leave them just in case I need to, for some reason. So strength isn't a huge issue.. dunno how much of an issue I'd have with drilling holes to put the bracket on.
Thoughts from the gurus (Srinath, dgyver, werase, etc?)
Sounds interesting. I think you'd be better off welding the bracket. Here is dgyver's set up.

Hmm.. interesting idea... if I did that, I could use the assembly from a gixxer or R6, which looks easy to modify. Problem is, I don't know any welders. Maybe I'll see if Lee can do it, sometime after I get some $$..
Take it to an exhaust shop. They have MIG.
there's a guy on the 600rr.net site that does it to RR footpeg brackets. you send him yours and he sends you a done set. 4-8 LED's in amber or red. they look good too.
Any idea what he charges pablo? Cuz if dgyver can mount gixxer pegs, no reason I can't make brackets to mount RR pegs..
