I was looking around today for exhaust options and came across this from Jardine http://jardine.rideshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=253&products_id=1741
Jardine home web site has it listed as an RT-1 Polished Alum Stainless 2:1 Full Sys, Race: GS500F '04-06
$375.00
As I am setting up my GS 500 for the track, a full race system for the price of a slip-on sounds pretty good
Anyone have any info on this ? I am not sure weather it will fit an GS 500E.
Another option I have looked at is Jardine,s GP 1 exhaust for A GSXR600 http://www.hyperformanceparts.com/catalog/popup_image.php?pID=22541&image=0
A little Pipe cutting and bending just have to make sure that there's enough room.
I sure do like the MOTO GP style
the gp-1 exhaust pic looks like the side of a ninja 650r not a gsxr. Makes me wonder.
I have the RT-1 on my GS500F parked next to my buddies E it looks like it will fit bolt pattern is the same, I'll measure tomorrow if you need to know the specifics.
Sounds nice, a deep tone, really helps the bike breath. Well gotta run..
Cheers,
Howie
find someone who crashed their street bike and buy their used scratched up aftermarket pipe
you get a useable...race system
they get 50-60% towards anothe shiney system
I'd got to the local dealer and buy a used stock system off of some 90's sportbike...read steel header pipe....
cut the system below where the foot peg would be
and weld it to the GS headpipe
you will get a replaceable muffy if you drop it and the used system should be bought for 25-50 bucks
2-3 HP is not realy noticable with your butt-o-meter....and it will be louder
this is the basic concept of the srinath flange.....
You can find some interesting facts on the Jardine Exhaust here including pistures and a sound file.
