Title: I need a shoulder...
Post by: Turd Ferguson on January 21, 2007, 11:49:58 AM
I watched the Monster ride away in the bed of someone elses truck today.  I sold it to a guy out of Colorado Springs.

Cheer up!  If you didn't miss the money more you wouldn't've sold the thing.   :icon_razz:

Indeed.  Money is getting a little tighter than I had suspected it would.  I found myself contemplating cheap tires for my wifes car and suddenly realized I needed to sell the Duc.  Damn!

Too bad...  If there's a PEP BOYS in your area, they carry FUTURA brand tires.  They're actually COOPER tires made for PEP BOYS.  I've been using them for years (same with my dad) and have been happy about the tires and the left-over money in my bank account.

Me = not a fan of Cooper.  I'm a big fan of spending the extra $100 or so for nice tires.  Considering the extra benifits of traction, life, safety, comfort and noise...its worth it.  I hate loud-ass cheap tires (such as her current Cooper Cobras) that get bad traction.  Lets also not forget the mileage benefits of a good tire, which cancels out a bit of the initial cost.

Lifes too short for cheap beer and cheap tires!

And yes, I'm likely keeping the GS.  My wife told me the other day, without me even asking, that I could get whatever bike I want when I get a job in May.  Boo ya!  So its not all bad, right?

Would you like to share in your good fortune when that happens in May?  Like sending a poor, sex-less soul in Massachusetts a nice brand new Duc Monster?
