aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm totally in motorcycle withdrawal.
Man....I rode today...fresh tires...valves just adjusted...oh yeah, a rejet.... Man it was a lil chilly but.... :)
Sorry...springs around the corner!
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ....
Not the GS, but 4 others are nice and shiny and ready to run ... after I busted my ass last weekend fixing them ... savage had no rear T/Ses and trust me it wasn't a simple slam dunk ... aftermarket T/Ses are 3 inches short on wire. Hell it was prolly less than 3 inches short. The virago needed spark plugs (it eats them every 3 months or so) and those weren't easy to find BTW at local car shops, Air Maxim had no tail light ... problem was in the ignition switch, someone had taped the bottom electrical part instead of screwing it in ... and the water max had a water leak which automagically disappeared after riding it 5-10 mins. Me thinks its over filling. Monday was MLK day, then Tuesday it was rain, wednesday I worked from home due to wifey's doc appt, thursday I had to give my son a ride to school cos wifey's ankle was supposed to be rested, friday was rain as well ... damn ...
Cool.

...Winter?
High temperature today was 70 degrees and sunny. Right now (6:45pm) it's 65F outside, and clear.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! We got 6" of snow last night...dammit! But then again, its Kansas. I just put the GS away for storage 3 weeks ago. O0
Studs...spikes...chains...knobbies....there are always options. I always had a blast riding my dirt bike in the snow.
I read someone on this site say "winterize the rider, not the bike." I haven't owned a car in 3 years. My GS is the only way I go.
My riding season is 12 months long.
AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
BOTH bikes.... And they're in a spot where I can see them EVERY F*CKING DAY!!! I just get to stare at them...
I can't even SIT on them because it's too DAMN COLD!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGHhhhhhhhh
I haven't ridden since around thanksgiving. Right now I can't even take the bike out if we get a nice day cause it's 4+ hours away while in my parents' garage while I'm moving around
Rode on New Years Eve and one more time the first week of January. Temps and weather certainly did a turn for the worst over here though. Snow, Ice, Snow, some more Ice and its been freezing. Have relatives that moved to Australia and its been like 90.F
I just dump some Stabilizer in all the tanks and fire them up every week. Thats my winter storage.
Hopefully only another month or so and we will be cruisin Niagara again :thumb:.
um ooohhh aaahhhh!
we take ours out 1 once a week atleast. sorry :dunno_white:
i rode to work everyday the week before christmas 35 to 40 deg temps. i decided then, that anything below 40 is to cold for me
COLD RAIN :nono: :nono: :nono:
io rode my asspirin in my damned truck
Oh yea rode the damn virago 1100 today. Looks on the faces of the car clowns was .... prick less ...
Yea ...
1 week to the day, 1/2 the time it was through no fault of my own.
Now wouldn;t you believe it, the savage was not flowing enough fuel. Apparently I picched the fuel line under the tank and it had a kink, and now wont get unkinked are 1 week of freezing cold ... its set with that huge welt across it.
Cool.

This crazy winter conceded me to ride for a couple of weeks since november, two days ago here there was 24°C when the average is 4°......I would like to switch with you, I miss the snow.....
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH........... :icon_confused: wait my bike isn't in storage. I guess I will just get off this bandwagon here, guys.
Bama is a bit cold but only the new harley riders keep there bikes stored when it gets cold. :flipoff:
ARGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH
The weather is freezing. The roads are in terrible condition with all the salt. The bike well the bike, where do i start. Just had awful trouble fitting the HOTGRIPS! yes hotgrips you hear. Well the glue set on one before i got it totally on, f%$k, got it off later with a hammer. Funnily enough no damage to it so i got it properly. Nice toasty warm hands in the freezing weather. So i think im set. Extra jumper under the leathers, waterproofs on for the freezing rain. Low and behold the rear shock went just 4 days ago. I only got chance to confirm its reached the end of its life today. So no more riding till i get a new one. Ghey. £300 for a new Nitro one. £30-60 for a used OEM one. Hrmmmm used methinks. Ah well i keep trying to ride this freezing month but its not going well! Also if you would like to know what it feels like riding a bike with no dampening on the rear shock. Its like riding a sponge. Skittery and skiddy and bouncy - not good in corners or on salted roads!

What kind of pansy uses hotgrips!? ??? Heck, here in California, we ride in 20-degree weather, through rain, sleet, storms, and wind, and we do it BAREFOOT and NEKKID! What kind of candy@$$ little punks do they have across the pond anyway!? :flipoff: :icon_mrgreen:
j/k...sozzy...I just really felt like calling someone a candy@$$ little punk :kiss3:
Crumpet eating, cricket playing, politically correctness gone mad pansy people who need hotgrips for their cold hands in the 0 degree weather. :flipoff:

eh we havnt really had any so far this year and the winters havent had snow in a while but it has been very cold lately. I would still ride it in the cold but I figured it was a good chance to tear the bike down and fix it up and repaint most parts. wish I lived in SD cali. I love going there every year!
SD is da bomb! I've been driving my car lately since I've been sick and since it's been icy (I'm an ice wimp). I've been de-icing my car every day for weeks.... WAAAAHHHHH!!!!!! ???
:flipoff: -----> winter!
:icon_mrgreen:
I rode in yesterday... I rode in today... I didn't wear cold-weather gear on my legs...
It was cold, but well worth it. :icon_mrgreen:
