Hello, Let me be the first to say.
I live in UK. Hey i got the first post in our UK meet and greet.
My Name is Luke (Kasumi) I ride a ZXR400 (see sig) Mmm I live in the West Midlands. Wooo. Im 17 also.
Have fun!
Now everyone else in the UK post up!
hey there,
im a kiwi living in edinburgh,
i have a zxr750 and my faithful butchered gs500 :thumb:
:thumb:
I'm here in the Uk.
In Edinburgh too in fact.
I'm riding a Bandit 650 in the nice weather and my old GS500E when they have the salt down.
I'm in the UK, only just!- 22 miles north of Calais.
in the Uk too! Staffordshire. back into biking again after 15 years. Trusty little GS500EW.
hi there my name is marc ( mad marc ) i live in south wales, gwent, does anyone else live in or around gwent ?
hiya, I'm pete[r] from lovely brum
just got a k2 after piddling around on a cg125
Hey Pete, where in the UK you live mate? I upgraded from my rieju rs1 50cc to my zxr400 in the last year.
near cov/birmingham, at warwick uni
bet you're lovin the extra power! did you have your license for 2 years or do the DAS?
I honestly can't imagine riding a 125 again.. just too scary with lorries trying to overtake on the a45
Heh i live near banbury, its pretty close to warwick uni, infact ive been to look round deciding if i wanted to go to Uni. Im 17 but have decided not to, going to bournmouth air traffic control collage instead. The power gain is fantastic. I still have to hold my license for another year before i can have the 33bhp restrictor kit removed. I can't see how it makes much of a difference really. I rode the bike once without it in (before i got it fitted) it is capable of doing 145 ish mph, and the acceleration was immense, after restriction the only noticable difference has been roll on power when your up to about 85, it doesn't accelerate as quick as it used to. And the top speed has been brought down to around about 105. Even though on the restriction certificate it says it should only reach 92 mph. Odd but then my bike is modified and the restrictor kits are standard for the bike not custom made. We should meet up some time for a ride in the summer?

whoah I didn't realise the zxr 4 was that quick. I've only had the gs5 up to about 90 - I think it's got a weak ignition system/power problem (sometimes stops firing on one cylinder..) I need to do some more fault finding
ah my grandparents live in tadmarton, just outside banbury so i do (occasionally!) come down. yeah definitely go for a ride.. :)
kool, when it reaches summer break we wil have to plan a ride. Yea the zx4 is an immense bike, mine has been to the track so has had lots of engine work etc... but still as stock they wil do 140 flat out. The only problem with it is its super revvy, theres not a lot of torque really but when you get to 10k revs it really takes off all the way up to the 14500 rpm rev limiter :o
I'm not an UK member but I did sleep in a holiday inn express last night.
Hey!
Live in Stafford - GS500EW (German import). First bike for 15 years AND LOVING IT!! Gotta get a meet up organised for the UK members for sure! :thumb:

Hi I am in Basingstoke UK :D Curently the bike is being repair for me (I gave up trying myself lol) so hope to have her back in a week!
Wotcha!
Newb here from sunny and crime free London! :p
Hi guys, I'm in Bristol and I've had my GS500 from new since I passed my DAS last summer. My bike is off the road right now while I get the damage repaired from when some nasty PoS tried to steal it a week ago. I'm gutted that I don't have it to ride now the weather is turning nice.
I'd be up for a meet this summer, although I need some advance notice to keep the missus happy. Distance isn't an issue - I'm looking for an excuse to throw a tent on the back and do some big miles.
I live in ye old midle england - the west mids near stratford, so since im in the centre and there are quite a few different roads we should meet here!
All being well i shal have purchased a new to me sv1000s by then!
Hey Guys,
I'm in leeds with a '00 GS500, first bike and loving it! I'm on a gap year working before going to do engineering at uni, which means the bike spends 50% of the time in pieces :thumb:
Sounds gd guys , Im from southend , South East , i think a big camp out is a must during the summer!
Hi all UK-ers. I'm from West Lothian, and work in Edinburgh. I just joined the forum last week since buying a GS500E, my first 'big' bike, and really enjoying the new ride despite the recent wet weather.
I've also tried to join bikechatforums as recommended by hmmmnz, but didn't seem to get the registration email. Any ideas - apart from re-registering with a new name?
South Wales valleys... Lovely country once you're out of them! :icon_mrgreen:
Hi Everyone, Just found this site and its good to know that im not the only sad person with a GS500E lol..

Hey guys. I know ive not been online for a while but i now have a K7 GS500! Yay!
What about any ideas about where 2 meet this summer? Wales? Scotland? Feedback dudes.....
Could we pin everyone on a Frappr (http://www.frappr.com/?a=constellation_map&mapid=137440526983) map and work out somewhere reasonably central for everyone?
Wales is good for me 'cos I'm in Bristol. I'd love to do Scotland - it would be good training for my iron butt (http://www.ironbuttuk.org/).
Im attempting to add myself however it is not liking it! and won't let me move the pin!
Im in Tysoe, Warwick, Warwickshire!
Are you registered and logged in? When I mouse-over my own pin I get a little box appear, and in there is an option to move the pin...
Lol its now on there but i cant move it to my exact location however its pinned withing 10 minutes of where i live so its close enuf.
That'll do. :) There's three on the map now... any more? This will be great if we can make it happen. I've even got the nod from my missus! :D
Great idea. I've added myself to the Frappr map. Will be a challenge agreeing somewhere 'central'!
A up. Got my gs in jan, been playing and poking it for some time now as it only cost £725. its black with an aftermarket fariing, 33bhp kit. Been making it into a winterproof bike since i got it and now summers here, so the heated grips, fork gaiters, rear hugger and three mud flaps are working great. I love British weather! I live in Derbyshire use the bike to travel to uni and hospital every day(i am a student nurse(i can hear the jokes coming already)) and last but not least i can not spell or use grammar for SH*T.
Hey all,
