off topic :icon_lol: but how many cans of sray paint do you think it would talk to paint a (cant spell) fouton frame,
cause i'm on like can#4 and only half way done with the first coat. :dunno_white:
how many coats you want, I think you got it figured out. half way done= 4 cans, so would that mean that 8 cans would be 1 full coat. now take 8 and multiply it by the number of coats you want.....and this should be in odds and ends
well ya i the simple math i get, but do ya think it should that much :dunno_white:
I dont know, might sound right depending on the size of the frame and also the size of the can. Make sure you have the can upright and not leaning sideways so you get the most of the paint.
Uhh... how thick are you putting this on? remember, the key to good spraypainting is multiple thin coats, not several thick coats. If you're at 4 cans for a futon frame, I think you're putting it on too thick. Just my $.02 though.
haha, yeah sounds like your really cakin that shaZam! on, I can paint a whole damn car with 8 cans, geezez
Odds and Ends.
+1 your putting it on too thick. Light then coats. It may not totally cover in the first coat. 6 thin coats are better then 2 or 3 heavy coats.
Good luck!
I was raised with futons. futons are overrated. They're not comfortable to sleep on especially on your side, and they are ghetto couches too. Ok for college, not so good as final choice furniture.
I have only seen 1 decent rattle can job. Of course in a year it was a mess again, but that may have been user error, cos there was other crap that was messed up too.
The guy used a lacquer based paint. And yes on the several thin coats but the key to getting it painted right IMHO ... very very short bursts of spraying few 10th of a second at a time ... and also dont direct it at the part straight ... sorta point it at an angle and sorta fog the thing in paint more than direct blasting. I dunno, that was the only one I have seen. The same guy laid down an unbelivable paint job with a compressor and spray gun on a car. So he was pretty good with paint.
Cool.
Srinath.
ok quote thing wont work for me right now but-

i get this, the first part i used multiple thin coats, the second i sprayed the piss out of. they both came out about the same, thou the thin coated one is a bit better nither is worth bragging about. guess i didn,t state all the factors.
